Welcome, cousins
This is our family's corner of the web: a place for Wade cousins to stay connected and to find everything about the 2027 reunion in one spot.
We have a year to plan, so if you are still working, now is the time to put in for those vacation days. We hope every one of you can come. It should be lots of fun!
The reunion at a glance
When
Monday, September 20 through Thursday, September 23, 2027.
Where
River Home in St. George, Utah. It is big, secluded, and has lots to do.
The plan
A few structured events, and plenty of unscheduled time to visit and relax.
We can enjoy meals together, visit, play games, and even sleep under one roof if we choose.
Where we'll stay
River Home has 10 bedrooms and about 50 beds. Some are in private rooms, and many are bunk beds with several to a room, so there are not enough private rooms for every couple.
- Dormitory style: ladies in some rooms and guys in others, so everyone who wants to can stay at the house.
- Top bunk not for you? Bring an air mattress and claim a spot on the floor.
- Want your own space? St. George has plenty of motel rooms nearby.
Meals
We are planning on about 8 meals together. Each family takes one: you pay for it, fix it, and clean up after it. Then you sit back and enjoy everyone else's cooking for the rest.
What it will cost
The house
Probably about $100 per person to rent the place.
One meal
Your family shares the cost of the one meal it hosts.
A show, maybe
If we take in a show at Tuacahn, figure about $75 more each.
Plus your gas to get there and back. These are early estimates, not final numbers.
What to bring
- Your personal clothes and items
- Your favorite lounge chair
- A beach towel
- Your own pillow, if you are particular about pillows
- An air mattress, if you would rather skip the bunks
Getting there
From Arizona
About a 6 hour drive.
From northern Utah
About a 5 hour drive.
Parking
It may be tight, so carpool if you can. If not, we'll figure it out.
Family colors
We are thinking of giving each family its own color, with matching T-shirts or even just a colored sticker, so it is easy to tell which branch of the family everyone belongs to.
More to come
For now, save the dates and pass the word along to your brothers and sisters. We will add the menu, meal assignments, family colors, and the schedule here as plans come together.
Questions? Ask in the family text thread and we will post the answers here for everyone.
